The main objectives of this lecture were
  • how to use Adobe premiere pro
  • brief of exercise 1 and project one
  • Basic understanding of video editing

Week 2 - 3

Lecture : Start of week 2 lecture mr martin told us use multiple shots in a video except one long video and how the have to be arranged , along with that he briefed us about exercise 2

Task

For the first task ms martin showed us how to arrange videos and then provided us with two different videos with cut out shots for us to rearrange them as a collective proper video

Progrress 1

So starting off this exercise
was pretty simple i a started by importing all the footage into premier pro

Progress 2

After the importation stage i set all the footage on the time so i can start rearranging them.

Progress 3

After i finished re arranging them i previewed the video to check if everything was smooth and then exported it

Final outcome

This is my result after the process

This exercise also has a part b which is pretty much the same process but different footage here's the outcome for the other footage

week 3 - 4

Lecture : Week 4 lecture Mr Martin told us about the different types of shots that are used in visuals and how to identify them. These shots are a global concept for video editing along with that he also introduced us to story boards and how we can use them to make a planned work path

  • Close up
  • medium close up
  • medium
  • medium wide
  • Wide
These shots are the basis of all films and videos , then mr martin also showed us some example videos after that he briefed us about the next task and more editing on our project 1

Task

For this exercise we were told to shoot our won footage to reflect the kinds of shots and then put them together in one video

Progress 1

My initial thought for the exercise was to shoot footage my brother playing guitar , it's the first thing i could think off and it also allowed me to use a variety of shots

Progress 2

After getting a layout i started shooting using different shots , each shot was around 8 seconds and trimmed down , they are shown below

Shots

progress 4

After getting all the shots i simply imported them into premiere pro arranged them , added the text and imported it

Final outcome

Week 4 - 5

lecture : Week 4 lecture mr martin gave us insight on story plots and how they can be formed , including storyboard and identified along with that he gave us a tutorial on how to trim videos and a couple effects like a disappearing effect

Task

For this task Mr Martin showed us a video in class and then gave us a tutorial on how to trim videos , we had to recreate the video using the footage provided

Progress 1

The first step was the same as always import all the footage in premiere pro

Progress 2

The second step in this exercise was to open the editing window of premiere and dragging each clip to the source window where we trim the video , using IN and OUT points before adding them to the timeline

Progress 3

After trimming all the clips and inserting them in the time line i then re arranged them according to the story frame and checked it a couple of times before exporting it
