In addition to the feedback adjustments i also used some other blending modes such as overlay

And i also used the gaussian blur brush tool shadow effect in front of the cowboy.

      Making and understanding compositions
      MR FAUZI

Mr fauzi's lecture was about understanding and construction of compositions
which included key things such as :-

      • Visual hierarchy in placing objects
      • Arrangement of object in contrast with main subject
      • colour combinations and negative spaces
After the lecture there was a short tutorial where he demonstrated how to arrange items using different elements

      Task

our task for this lecture was to make our own composition/collage using
      • cut-outs from different magazines/newspapers
      • Composition with an idea or without should reflect composition factors
      process 1

I themed my collage as MUSIC because of my interest

i started by choosing some magazines and posters which i thought could be of use to me

      Magazines and posters is chose

After choosing a couple posters i printed them and cut out certain objects i wanted to use and began giving them different arrangements

      Arrangement 1

The background here i used was just some shiny sticky papers i had lying around

      Arrangement 2

I used the main feature as the person in the centre who is one of my favourite musicians and i tried to arrange the surrounding objects to give it hierarchy and emphasis

      Arrangement 3

After the first two arrangements i ended up with this arrangement which i thought was the most balanced and reflective of my idea and i kept it as my final

      Final outcome and submission
